Microsoft is rolling out an update for Windows Phone 8 devices which would enable an option for users in all international markets.
This option would allow them to configure their phones to backup photos and videos taken on the WP device on SkyDrive in full quality.
Until now, this feature was accessible to users in few locales. Microsoft said:
Today I am pleased to announce that we?re making the ability to back up full-res photos and videos available everywhere. (We just started to light this up, so be patient if you don?t see it right away. The change could take a few days to roll out around the globe.)
Thankfully, the option to upload original quality photos and videos would require Wi-Fi connectivity. Users do get the ability to upload compressed images using their data plans if they so desire.
